Best Quote I read this week

Colin PaiceColin Paice is well known to many of you through his years of work on the performance of MQ for z/OS. He blogs about this topic on his own blog, Colin Paice Blog but has also recently started blogging about performance on the distributed platform.

After years of having all the best tools in his z/OS toolbox, Colin came up with this wonderful quote on a recent blog post on MQDev.

Stick your head out the window

“Going from z/OS to distributed performance feels a bit like flying an airbus with dials that tell me what’s going on – to driving a car when you have to put your head out the window to see how fast you are going. If you get tears in your eyes – you are going too fast!”

Read the whole post at Why is my work going slower today (on distributed).

About Morag

I'm an IBM MQ expert and family history nut. By day I write MQ Technical Education Courses, and in the evening I delve into my family history. I’m from Shetland, in fact from Unst, Britain’s most northerly island, and I am trying to put together a complete Unst family tree.

The team at MQGem would love to hear what you think. Leave your comments here.
