Colin Paice is well known to many of you through his years of work on the performance of MQ for z/OS. He blogs about this topic on his own blog, Colin Paice Blog but has also recently started blogging about performance on the distributed platform.
After years of having all the best tools in his z/OS toolbox, Colin came up with this wonderful quote on a recent blog post on MQDev.
“Going from z/OS to distributed performance feels a bit like flying an airbus with dials that tell me what’s going on – to driving a car when you have to put your head out the window to see how fast you are going. If you get tears in your eyes – you are going too fast!”
